"It is important to remember the history and heritage of cricket, but also to develop new relationships and preserve the ‘spirit of cricket’ and we hope this will be achieved through the programme."

Runs on the Board & the grey fox trophy A celebration of over 50s cricket

‘Runs on the Board’ was conceived as a project for imove, part of Yorkshire’s Cultural Olympiad for London 2012.

It runs alongside the Grey Fox Trophy and is an integral element of the Trophy’s identity and appeal. In 2011 Runs on the Board commissioned photographer Anton Want and poet Andrew McMillan to produce a body of new work celebrating the character of over 50s cricket and the characters mad enough to still haul their creaking, brittle bones out onto the pitch.

The Runs on the Board Book can be ordered here.
